Jessica Meredith Jacobsen 5k Run
|
In honor of Jessica Meredith Jacobsen’s memory, the Knights Of Columbus Council # 4011 (Father O’Neil Council) has organized the third annual Jessica Meredith Jacobsen 5K Memorial Run on September 25, 2010. In addition to memorializing Jessica, an avid runner whose spirit and charitable works inspire us, the 5K Run will support the House of Ruth, ICS Tuition Assistance Fund and Father O’Neil Charities. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

On Sunday October 3rd Team Brick Bodies & Lynne Brick will take part in the 2010 Komen Maryland Race for the Cure. Funds raised for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will help to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening, and treatment. Coalition for a Healthy Maryland
The mission of the coalition is to promote prevention... the real answer to the obesity epidemic and the spiraling health care costs. We plan to assemble, propose and pass legislation establishing a tax incentive to Marylanders for behavior changes and expenditures that lead to a healthy lifestyle. Tri To Help Maryland – Indoor Triathlon For Epilepsy
The Maryland Tri To Help Indoor Triathlon For Epilepsy was on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Brick Bodies Reisterstown (10 min swim, 30 min bike, and 20 min run). Participants and team relays were involved in raising awareness to help find a cure for epilepsy. All proceeds raised at this event benefited the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Epilepsy Center in Baltimore, Maryland. A $100 award was given to the top fund-raiser.
