- Has presented lectures, workshops, master classes and fitness instructor trainings in over 25 countries
- Three times named to Maryland's Top 100 Women, thus qualifying for The Circle of Excellence
- Named Maryland's Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young, 2004
- 1990 International Dance-Exercise Association (IDEA) Instructor of the Year
- Technical Consultant for Internationally distributed Body-Vive choreographed exercise program
- Has been the feature present in over a dozen exercise videos including Buns of Steel 6 and How To Teach Aerobics
- Has authored several books, including Consumer Guide's Step Into Shape and Fitness Aerobics by Human Kinetics
- Has appeared on radio and television, including endorsing home fitness products in infomercials and on QVC home shopping channel
- Extensive charity work
- Graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in nursing
- Played on the varsity tennis team and performed with the dance company
- Worked at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, the first Shock Trauma center in the world, for seven years
- Performed in local theater
- Married with two children, Vicki and Jon
